Default Securityy System Options

I have an 08 FXDF and am doing a cross-country ride next spring. I would like to know if there are better systems out there besides the HD security system. I like the pager idea if I am in a hotel. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If I can't decide on a security system I guess I will be tent camping so I can sleep close to the bike.

Thanks.

I've read where guys will place a few empty beer bottles on the bike. Once it's sat on/effed with - the bottles probably sound like a freight train in the dead of night.

Or....

Afraid I can't help with alternative security systems. I do remember a response to a similar question that went along the lines of buying a Honda bike cover to give yourself a little camoflage.

the pager is nice to have, but it only tracks your bike so far. mine is about 100 yards or so. but it is very sensitive, so for me it was worth the money to have a good night sleep when traveling.
