Footpegs VS Floorboards

Footpegs VS Floorboards
I 've been riding an FXDC '07 for the past two years and i always enjoyed the stretched leg position of my forwarded footpegs.Great chopper feeling.
But when on long rides there are problems for me:
Legs dropping because of the vibrations or bad road.
On high speeds due to wind a had to press me feet hard on the pegs.
Slippery shoes which didn't like to stay in place.
And knees opening when completely relaxed.
I recently rode on a softail haritage and i was amazed by the fact that all my problems were solved.
I'm reall thinking of installing floarboards now.
Can it be done on a Dyna?
Anyone knows if H-D has a such a kit?
Any other aftermarket maker in mind?
Thanks for any tip

I know this isn't much help, but I've seen a ton of dynas around here with floor boards. I'll have to look into it. But, I'm sure someone else will know and share something before I even find out. Anyway, I'm just letting you know it can be done...and I would think fairly easily since I see so many of them.

I run these boards on my FXD2003 (see my album)
Check out this thread and you'll find several options:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...ater-dyna.html
H-D floorboard kit for Dyna models is obsolete; parts, however, are still for sale. Partslist is in the instruction sheets database (Floorboard Kit Dyna ... 50601-01) (see link in my signature)
Check Ebay for "dyna floorboards" or "Dyna footboards" from time to time.
If you need some help on this subject, just let me know.

Don't want to offend anyone, and maybe you could care less how it looks. But, I've seen dynas with floorboards so I know it can be done. However, very few of them looked "right" to me. On the other hand, I've seen some that looked really slick.
However, there are probably things you can do without switching to floorboards. Are your legs too stretched out? Maybe find a way to get some bend in your kneed and get your feet closer to you or vice versa. Maybe there is a better style of footpeg that will give you more support and grip - stirrups or something like that maybe.
Another option is to put the mid-pegs back on for an alternate location for your feet on long rides to keep your legs from getting tired. I didn't like that idea when I first heard about it but have considered it recently.

Just an FYI - here's the note from the Kuryakyn web page regarding use of these floorboards: "Note: H-D Applications: Not recommended for use on mounts fastened to the motorcycle with only a single fastener. Leverage applied by the board will cause the mount to "twist" and loosen from the motorcycle. We recommend Anti-Rotation Peg Mounts (P/N 4548) when using these on '00-'07 Softails."

Fat Bob Floor Boards
I got a pair of after market FLH style floor boards off of eBay for $35. The glued on rubber pads were peeled off & the mounting tab rivets were drilled out & removed.
A 3/8 steel rod was inserted into the stock mid peg mount & bent horizontally toward the forward control peg mount. The front connection was made by threading the rod & screwing on a male mount from an Iso type peg.
The floor board mounting tabs were slid onto the rod; all the holes are 3/8. The rod was then installed by inserting the plain end into the mid peg mount, the front connection is made with a 3/8 bolt & lock nut.
The board was set on top of the rod assembly; the tabs were swiveled up & clamped to the underside of the board. The bike was leveled on a stand and a scissors jack was used to level the boards. Everything was tack welded in position, removed & finish welded on the bench. The rubber pads were re-glued & the floor boards were re-installed.
