Default stock Handlebar chrome shine

its been close to 5000 miles I've rode on my 2009 FXDC.
I've changed lots of parts to chrome in my bike.
Lately i've started noticing the stock handlebar is losing its chrome shine, not sure why though?
Has anyone noticed this on their bike?

Is there a aftermarket handlebar that looks like stock one with better chrome polish?

I checked with a HD dealer and he told me that if I change handlebar then I might end up changing cables. All my cable lines are braided so I dont wanna change my cable or is there a handlebar like a drag style where I dont have to change my cable?

Any easy way out for this situation

Here's the short answer. Your stock bars are not chrome. Never were. HD sells chrome versions of stock bars....direct swap. If your stock bars are comfortable, you can swap them out for under $100 + grips.

If you go with drag bars, stick with risers about 6-7 inches and you wont have to change cables.

drill them, powder coat them gloss black and wire 'em back up internally ... will improve the looks of any bike!

Check out Flanders. They have a ton of choices. As long as you don't get too radical you should be able to avoid having to change cables
