Default Amsoil / How many miles?

For those of you using Amsoil 20w50... how many miles are you running before an oil change?

I just ran 7,000 on my last oil change, seemed fine, was wondering how long I might be able to stretch the next one.

5000 max. I run far less before an oil change, but I like my engine enough to take good care of it.

From their website:

SERVICE LIFE
Recommended for use up to twice the motorcycle manufacturer change interval (miles/hours) or one year, whichever comes first, in engines, transmissions and primary chaincases. For Big Twin Harley-Davidson transmissions only, follow the Harley-Davidson recommended drain interval for synthetic oil of up to 20,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. When using an engine filter other than AMSOIL Ea, change the filter at standard intervals.

For off-road use, change AMSOIL MCV at motorcycle manufacturer intervals.

Racing or modified engines are excluded from extended drain interval recommendations. Oil changes are at the owner’s discretion.

I don't use Amsoil. However, PosseRider does. He has 80+k miles on his 2003 Ultra and changes his Amsoil every 10k miles. PM for details.

Amsoil 20W/50 gets changed every 2500-3000 miles. Always better to be safe than sorry.

I'm in the process of buying a 2010 Dyna, after I get the first 1000 miles on it I will go with Amsoil. I will do the same as I have always done with my 1200-C every 6000 miles.

in all 3 holes. tad expensive that way, But the last time i checked a new ride was 13K, so $80 every 3 sounds good to me

Manufacturer recommends 5000 miles on the crank...that is even running regular oil so you would be safe running it to 7500 or even up to 10k, i choose to change my full syn oil at 5000-6000 miles..But to each his own.
