Question Windex on the Denim Paint?? Really??

I know the manual says to use it but it just goes against everything I know of automotive detailing. What is it in the Windex that HD would say to use it on the paint?? Does it do any better than my normal car wash soap does? Do you use Windex on it after you wash the bike....???

I'm just not sure i can pull the trigger off a bottle of Windex on my bike. Seems

Used it just fine so far. Ammonia free of course. Cleans up everything nicely after getting caught in a rainstorm. Paint looks as good as new.

I was told to use it or dish soap becuase it wouldn't ruin the demin finish. I've got to be honest I've used regular carwash soap and the HD spray on cleaner and my demin finish is just as "flat" as it was the day I bought it.

When I was 18 my neighbor cleaned a spot off his BMW with Windex and it seemed to fog the paint. I've always been told it should not be used on paint.

Do you use this as a substitute for something like pig spit?

i use windex wipes on the tank and fenders and a soft cloth to wipe off the residue. Fast and easy way to keep the tins looking like new before every ride.

we had a flat black 31 ford, and it showed white reside using anything but windex. It always cleaned it up the best.
