First ride on the 107 build tonight
Hey everyone,
Well tonight we finished doing most of the odds/ends on the 107 build that I helped build with a buddy of mine. Here are the specs:
107 CP Domed 3cc pistons
big boyz heads with manual compression releases 10.8:1 compression
se roller rockers and support plate
chrome rocker boxes
r and r billet cam plate
r and r 615 cams
se roller rockers
hpi 51mm throttle body
se oversized injector(don't recall the size)
se hd clutch spring
se compensator
also installed:
chrome fork lowers
bright *** light tail light
recessed fuel gauge and gas gauge
hd external oil cooler
Man this bike runs AWESOME!!! It has good street manner but semi aggressive roll ons get the bike moving very quick. I have had lots of bikes over the years but never one this strong or smooth. The smoothness makes the power a little deceiving. I left several stop lights and just ran through the gears....looked back and the cars were probably two blocks back. I am VERY pleased with my outcome. We were told to expect somewhere around 120hp but I'm not one hung up on numbers. I wanted a bike with good street manners but something that would be alot of fun to run around on shorter rides.
We are going to take several bikes to be dyno'd sometime in January. Until then I'm going to try to get some miles on it to get it broke in well, then service it and hope to post the numbers once we get the results.
Man it took a fun bike and made it just awesome.....I can't get the smile off of my face. All of that work was definitely worth it.
