Dyna Super Glide Sport

Let my reply speak of my own experience as a owner of a 01 FXDX...
Got it a year ago...7200 miles...all stock as the day they built it...
Coming off of a Low Rider, this was a whole different bike...
First thing i noticed was the way it took the curves..unreal that Harley did not sell more of these,or the T-Sports...
Never one to leave things stock, the first thing i changed were the rotors to the newer floating design, and then tossed the factory pads in favor of Lyndall Z plus pads..
A fork brace...A Vance and Hines Pro Pipe..Better air intake via K&N..Screamin Eagle GT502 tires..Andrews 26 gear drive cams..
I now have a bike that not only runs strong,it's a blast to shock alot of guys who don't think Harleys can handle curves..
Make sure you get one with the Timken bearings...don't try to lower it..And be proud to have a bike that alot of people comment on by saying.."i didn't know Harley made a bike like that"

just picked up an 01 fxdxt with 12k all stock and owned by a now 70 yr old man,all service records since purchased, ran on amsoil, and as clean as it was on the showroom floor in 01.paid $6500 for it what do you think? its my first dyna had every other harley thought the street glide rode good until riding this! ordering thunderheader, powdercoating rims and lowers black, gonna change the bars, and not too crazy about the height of the bike in the rear but was told to not mess with the suspension.any ideas about the rear shocks? im 5'8 and barely can get both feet flat sitting on the bike.thanks in advance!!!

So after reading all this Dyna stuff I'm more confused than when I started...which is best?
I was set on an 06 or newer Dyna. Thought they were the cats ***. Better frame, more power bulletproof design etc etc. I have a Buell and a handful of older Harley's. Looking for reliability and to be able to ride like an ******* and have the bike keep up. I spend tons of time and upkeep with my Pan and shovels....I want something I can get on and ride the **** out of.....so, which is best?

I don't think anyone can answer that for you... The best one is the one with the best blend of the following:
- You like it
- You can afford it
- You understand what it needs and are okay with it
- You have some idea what you would like to change and are okay with it
- You can find it
Without knowing any of these answers...
