Default Will be removing my rear turn signals, have question?

I just about have all the parts ready. Bought a Kuryakyn Panacea rear light, and plan on installing that and removing the stock turn signals on my 1999 Dyna super glide. I have been slowly working on putting larger saddlebags on the bike. Have looked at the light instructions and they seem pretty clear.

Question is how do you get the turn signals off ( have a detachable side plates to deal with too), and do you just cut the wires and tuck them somewhere? I know many of you have done this , how have you done it and how?

Thanks,

the turn signals wiring attaches into the rear light. The bolt holding them on is on the underside of the fender. Righty tighty lefty loosey. Unbolt, unclip wiring, take off bike.
