Don’t know about chrome flames on a gas tank, but a good paint shop that can lay down gold leaf will be able to do the same thing with silver leaf. Done right it will look just like chrome, of course it will need a top coat of clear. Check the local paint shops that have a good reputation for custom work.

I think the whole idea of "chrome paint jobs" is kinda cheesy, but my God, that orange tribal flame job is AWESOME!
