Default Is relocating turn signals easy?

I will only have a couple days to relocate my turn signals on my wide glide before going on vacation. Can anyone give me some insight into any problems I might run into while doing this. I will be relocating both the front and rear turn signals. Changing front because of windshield and back to put on a set of ridgid saddlebags. I ordered a wire disconector tool to avoid splicing wires. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

I have changed both front and back. The front takes more time but with patience it is not
too bad. I did not remove my gas tank just took the front bolt out and lifted it up
to acess the connector. I removed the wires from the connector and did it by the book
but you could save time by cutting and splicing. Be careful on the rear wires up under the fender.
Look at them before you start so you know where they are routed.
It is easy to have them rub on the tire and short them out.

Haven't done the relocation,
but I would be interested to hear how the wire disconector tool works for you.

Don't mean to burst any bubbles here. But when I did my bar change and signal relocation I bought the tool and never used it. A small screw driver (optical style) worked the best for me.

Wide glides make the front relocation more difficult, their wiring runs thru the handlebars. So it's going to add complexity to the reloaction. I think I remember in the instructions that you have to actualy take the controls apart and divorse the wiring going to the turn signals. The only problems I ran into (I have a 35th superglide) was that one of the lower tripple tree bolts stripped when I tried to remove it so I had to drill the head off. I hate torx fasteners. The kit supplies you with longer bolts that hold the new mounting brakets.

Man knows what he's talking about. If you happen to notice your turn signal indicator light flashing rapidly, your tire just rubbed the wires in two.

All the previous post are true. Rears are not too bad to re-wire. But the fronts, if your running through the bars, will take time and patients. Worthwhile in the end.
