Default SE 10mm Plug Wires

Just got a set of Screamin Eagle 10mm plug wires (Red). I'm a little surprised (and a lot not surprised) that they didn't come with a replacement retension clip (the plastic piece that holds the wires together near the coil). Also, there are no horn bracket clips to hold the front wire to the horn bracket.

I haven't been out to the bike yet but I believe these wires are fatter than stock so I'm not sure if the retension clip will fit the new wires. And I have the same concern about the horn clips if they are even reusable.

Anyone replaced their wires with these and dealt with this? Do I improvise or do I need more parts?

I did ... I just bought a set of extra wire/zip tie clips for 50 cents a piece.

my stock clip does not fit. Don't need it either. zip tie the front wire to the horn mount.

Like everyone else I just zip tied the front one to the horn bracket.

Yep, got it - thanks. Fatter wires definitely don't need the retension clip and a zip tie on the horn bracket got the job done. Just wanted to be sure there weren't some proper parts I should be using.

I bought red zip ties and got a little creative with some clips designed to be used with the zip ties.

Anyone find any increased performance with these wires, or are they just for looks? I'm thinking about a set myself.

I just bought them to add a little sporty color to that side.

And because bberck has them. LOL j/k!! Didn't even know he had them until he replied to this thread.
