I walked in to my dealer to kick tires and maybe buy a T-Shirt and ended up riding out in an 09 Black Denim Fat Bob...For me, it's the best looking bike on the planet and with a few mods it runs like a bat out of hell. And it handles like a sport bike. Never did get the T-Shirt.....
There's no such thing as a "must have dyna". You can have a must have bagger or touing bike, but no dyna is a must have. Sorry to hurt your feelings, but that's the way I see it.
I would agree with Jeff if you were going touring two up and slow. If you ride hard and aggressive nothing beats the Dyna Line in the Big Twin Class. I will move over to the bagger line a little later(I am only 50) but mine will be juiced big time.

I would consider must have as the best selling Dyna for the year. I believe it will be the wideglide.
How do you get your bike with 32 degree cornering clearance and 685# wet weight to handle like a bike with 45 degree cornering clearance and 400# wet weight? I mean, I hang off like a freaking monkey when I'm riding with a friend of mine that rides a 600RR and the only way I can keep up is when he lets me. Make no mistake, my FXDC is awesome and I'll probably keep it forever, but there's no way it handles like anything sporty at all. Hell, I had a guy on a Ninja 500 totally dust me on CO-105 which is just a rolling road through horse country.
Bonker, what I meant was that it handles like a sport bike compared to many other cruisers that I've owned and it also has better handling characteristics than most other dynas I've ridden. I know it's still a 700 pound monster, but it doesn't feel like one at all.....and no offense, but I wouldn't even try to keep up with a little rice burner. It's not what I bought the bike for.
Is the bagger your sole means of transportation? If so, I can see your point. Otherwise, no offense, but I have no idea what you're talking about.
