i bought what i could afford - a superglide.

Don't like the ignition & hate everyone complimenting my sportster ( is it a 1200? hell no! but it has the speedo on the bars. SO!) & wanted to keep a 4" speedo - So 2010 wideglide tank is my solution. I also hate the silver motor, but, oh well.

If i could own any dyna it would be a 2010-11 wide glide (but i cant even afford forward controls right now)

How big is too big for the street bob? Thanks guys...

I'm 6'3" & 290lbs. My fxd fits me like a glove, absolutely love the feel. I couldn't give two ***** what other people think of me on it. (then again, i went from crotch rockets to a goldwing, to this)

It does look small with the t-bars, the apes made it a lot more comfortable.

My buddy has an 09 Street Bob and it's cool but for me the Fat Bob just seemed to fit my personality better. A little more unique looking. I think a lot of the Street Bob's popularity, no offense to anyone who has one, is that it's priced more or less in the middle of the dyna line.

Bought the Superglide because I knew I'd be changing it anyway.

Blank canvas. So far, so good.

I have a Street Bob myself, and I effing LOVE IT! I demo-ed a Fat Bob and hated the forward controls. Demo-ed a Super Glide Custom and totally loved it. It's a chromed out version of the SB with different handlebars.

GET A STREET BOB!!!!!

I got a great deal on a used 2010... During this past Toy Hill Run, did not see too many bobs out there compared to the other models. And YES out of ALL the bikes with the exception of a few Street Glides, my bike was the best looking... TO ME!

buy what feels good for you.
i went to the dealer set on buying a new fatboy special,
and i test rode everything they had. but as soon as i got out on the dyna,
it was game over. i now own a 2011 wide glide in black.
i think the fatboy is a great looking bike, but i got the dyna as it was the best one for me.

To me the must have Dyna is whatever i want it to be. Really isnt one I would turn down.

However, looking back over some of these posts that have strected back a couple years, i see one thing is still the same.

NON-Riders still prefer the looks of the Street Bob. Take my wifes bike for example. She has the Flat Black Street Bob that is completely stock except for some slip ons, lowering kit, risers, fringe and a windshield. many of the people that come up to us to chit chat while we are out riding, or our non riding friends, all prefer her bike.

I have ridden hers from time to time and do like it. But i still prefer my W.G.

Its really almost a question of Blondes or Brunette? Short or Tall? Small Rack or Massive......Well yall get the picture!!!!
