Default headlight question

Hi all
I just got my new headlight and i have a question...can i use the current wire set up in the new headlight bucket and just put in the bigger bulb/headlight? I am going from the stock headlight to a 7 incher i got off ebay? the 7 incher came with a headlight and wires, but i would rather use the stock set up and just change the bulb/headlight to a larger/better one. Also, any sugesstions on a good/kickass bulb/headlight i could use?
thanks
J

Easy pickins.
Either cut and splice your original wires inside the bucket, cut and splice the new connector to your wires, or you can remove the harness from the neck, remove the connector, fish your wires in the new bucket, put the connector back on, then stuff it back in the neck.

When you're ready to install the reflector in the bucket (if using a H4 bulb), see if you can remove the deflector cone from the reflector. That will literally double your light output.

The whole ordeal should take 30-40 minutes if you've never done it before
