Its not hard at all man I removed my bars and then took the grips one by one and put them in boiling water. After they had sat a while I spray the handlebar area and the grip inside with hairspray like the cheap aqua net max hold and then the hair spray makes them slip right on but once dried they dont move at all. Here are some pictures from my post you were talking about. These are the ProTaper Pillow Top grips. They are cheap and work awesome. Someone in my family gave me a giftcard for a local motorcycle shop that is only dirt bikes and sport bikes so really didn't apply to me but obviously it was a nice gesture. So I picked up like 4 sets of these grips so when they wear out I'll just replace them. They are much more comfortable than stock and take out a lot of the vibrations.

I'm 5 "7 guy on a 14 lowrider.

Really interested in the outlaw look of dynas.

I'm probably going to do 6.5 inch pullback risers or 8 inch riser plus stock bar.

Does anyone have any pros and con of pullback vs straights

Harlot personally I don't think that pullbacks look good with this style but it's your bike. Thats just my opinion. My bike has 8" straight risers and the bars have about 5" of rise to them.

Lots of people doing pullback risers, and MX bar setups.

Big AL's is doing their Bubba clamp with a slight pullback, and Lucky Dave's has their Lucky 13 bars.

Don't let your size fool you... I have seen plenty of guys, and a couple women about your size, or smaller run upwards of 12" total rise. If you can, sit on a bike that has 10 - 14" rise, and you'd probably be surprised.

The only downfall I can see to pullbacks, is that you may find yourself a little cramped.... Then again, maybe not. Other than feel, I would see no draw backs.

I haven't seen those before. The Lucky Daves look pretty badass to me. I'm actually 5-8 myself. I use 10, but 12s would probably be more comfortable as they are closer to you than 10s.

Yeah, just about 6ft here, and my 12 almost feel a little low. I may add a 2" spacer to see how 14" feels.

Yeah, the Lucky Dave's are defiantly interesting, and could be a nice setup

I'm new to this forum as I am to the Dyna community. I am the proud owner of a 2016 Street Bob and have been searching the forum for ideas. It seems the whole "outlaw/club/thug" theme brings out a wide range of detractors as well as supporters. I belong to the latter. Not because of any tv shows mind you. I like the feel of MX Tbars and the benefits of a fairing for reducing wind on my chest. My other ride is an adventure bike, so I'm used to higher bars and wind protection. At the end of the day, I'm glad to read all opinions - both for and against. Freedom to do and think what we personally like should never be taken for granted. And perhaps life does imitate art. Or is it the other way round?
