It's a must do for the switchblade mags in my opinion.

Hey just got a chance to start up my thunderheader for the first time. On first start up does the black finish smoke some while it's burning in almost like heat wrap? I had a little smoke coming off mine. Definitely not from the engine

It can. I hope you wiped it down before you started it after install. Grease and oil can stain it

Yeah I did wipe it down. Definitely smelt a little bit when I first took it out. Figured it was just the black finish.

It won't be black long if you don't tune the bike

Anybody on this thread running the Bassani Road Rage 2 (the pipe that's almost identical to a thunderheader) with the Leather Pros FXDXT retros? I've seen some running other Bassani's with the bags, but haven't found much with these pipes. I got the bags mounted and the pipe barely has any clearance. There's a pretty big upswing on this pipe in the back.
