I rode that way for a while on my last LR and it worked totally fine, I just wanted a better fit so I bought Street Bob throttle cables and clutch cable.
Also, worth noting I bent the elbows in the brake line under the bottom tree and up by the master cylinder to get the brake line to fit with a tiny bit of slack in the upper line. Didn't effect performance of the brakes or anything. Basically turned the end fittings from 90 degree to 45 degree bends. lol

If you just run the fairing and don't load it up with a bunch of garbage, (stereos and speakers and **** like that) you'll hardly notice the extra weight up front.
The bike will handle just the same as it does now...That's been my experience.

I have been highly considering a RT fairing as well and the weight is a concern. I don't need speakers or storage. Could you recommend a lightweight, bare bones RT fairing? Thanks in advance.

He has a bare bones FXRP fairing kit and he also had an FXRD fairing kit that has glove boxes and a full dash.
I'm doing an FXR right now with Deviant Fabrications FXRD fairing and lowers.
Here's a photo.

Actually all the "garbage" and speakers I have weigh nothing the amp itself is super tiny . With all the fairing I'm not wasting all the space the fairing has. The speakers and amp are probably less than 10lbs lol that's including the Bluetooth module

Your whole set up probably weighs the same, if not less, than a big fairing especially when you add lowers.
