First ride after my winter changes
Over our winter (southern hemisphere), I installed the Rifle fairing, Forbidden Risers and Pro Tapers, and 2014 FXDL Mids (further forward mids.)
I didn't realise the mids were the further forward ones until I got them. They were ebay takeoffs and I didn't read the description properly. No worries though, they were cheap, and much better than the forwards for handling, as well as really comfortable.
Anyway, 3 day trip around the East Coast of NZ's South Island. First day, left Dunedin (my home town) in the rain, 500km and 6 hours later, arrived at our first nights stop. During the ride we had rain, hail, sleet, and even a little snow and my ride got filthy. I love the new bars and the fairing, if I had still had only my apes, I think I would've frozen after a couple of hours but the Rifle kept the wind pretty much off my chest. Even in that weather I was the most comfortable I've ever been on the Dyna.
Filthy
Anyway, next day was the exact opposite and a great ride. I really wish I'd gone this direction with the bike originally. Next winter I'll make the bitch taller.
