I've got some gloss black detachable sideplates in the classifieds section if any of my "thug brothers" are interested.

What up gents.

So I've read this thread on and off for the last few weeks and finally got around to making it through the whole thing! All I can say is I love all of your bikes. You guys do some awesome ****!

Well I finally decided to move to the Harley side and sell my street bike, only problem is I deploy in a couple days. I know a lot of people are prior service and was wondering if any of you ever bought a bike from the overseas military auto sales and if they actually give you good deals? Shopped around a couple of the dealers to see what kind of deal I could get to compare with.

I'm still torn between getting the street bob and new low rider. I love that green low rider but don't want to copy squid's bike who seems to be famous now haha. Can't wait to get back and start the endless amount of mods.

Keep up the good **** guys, I'll be reading this thread when I can!

Welcome to the forums, and good luck on your deployment man, I'm finishing up a 10 monther right now. That being said i just got a 2015 Low Rider through MAS. I had started the process while i was stationed in Japan though. MAS gave me a great deal on mine, but mostly because of the time i had in Japan. They compounded every savings promotion they had while i was in the program. It ended up being about 1500 off the MSRP. All in all i think i've seen some better deals on the New last year models out there, but if you want Brand new and the exact factory details upon your arrival then i'd highly reccomend it. If you are looking for the best deal and willing to maybe not get the bike exactly how you want then i'd say wait.

Good luck out there man, return home safe and hopefully enjoy a brand new Harley i the process.

New to this forum as I had a bagger, but wanted something a little more fun so I sold it and bought a '09 Dyna. Have a 1200s too, but just had to get a Dyna. Did some things so far, but more to come. Race Tech front and rear suspension on order. Branch Heads, Reaper Cams and tuner within the next couple weeks. Prototype fairing from a new company also coming soon.

Custom Dynamics integrated Tail light

RSD seat and Slant pipe

18" West Coast TBars, JD Customs hand guards, Pistol Pocket

Boom Audio

The more green bikes, the better I say! Go for the low rider.

Like Pitchfork said, MAS is good if you want specific options with it. I seem to remember no sales tax as long as you take delivery at your overseas duty station depending on the state you return to. The MAS guy we had in Italy was awesome about that stuff, and even arranged free shipping of the vehicles back to the states when you rotate back.

Nice! Looking forward to the updates already. That saddle is awesome, BTW.

Awesome, thanks for the replies. I definitely won't be able to take possession so I'll be paying California sales tax. As far as specific options go, I have a question for you squid. Does the ABS make things harder to do any mods as far as breaks are concerned or anything else and is it worth it? I'm not exactly a gearhead, but I'm decent at figuring things out so (everything is on youtube these days). I know I'd have to do a brake line extension to put t bars on if I went the low rider route from what I've read. Well hopefully by the end of the year I have a bike to actually contribute to this thread! T-bars and fairing first then all performance from there.

That's a sweet bike! A color matched fairing will be killer!
