another question, i have an aftermarket headlight - super basic, bottom mounted - do you think will the HD fairing will require a new headlight or a special mount?
Hard to say without seeing what light you have. The harley fairing is designed to work with the 5 & 3/4" light. It has a gasket that seals up against the headlight, but thats not to say that it wont work with your setup. Worst case I guess, would be to put a factory light back on the bike. Post up a pic of your bike if you get a chance.

The Bung King brackets come with a headlight spacer. Here's a link to a write up I did on mine:

I thought at one time I saw a write up on using the harley quick clamps for 39mm on a harley 1/4 fairing, if anyone knows of this can you point me in the right direction.
Thanks, I have searched and can't find it now.

Should be easy to figure out. Real easy....pro taper evo are 1 1/8 Diam. I would guess ds risers are 1 in diam, with out looking it up. So I would say no it won't work. Could get forbidden risers which are made to fit 1 1/8 bars.

I think Ric at southeast custom Cycles also has Risers for Pro Taper 1 1/8 bars as well.

Well *****, thanks for the reply. I just don't want to eliminate the stock mount bracket with the neutral/oil/signals.

Maybe recommend a bar with almost zero pullback/rise? That isn't a tbar. Eff maybe I will run tbars who knows.

DS risers with biltwell zero drag bars should work. Or Talk to Jim @ Forbiden or ric @ south each customs both them sell Forbiden pro taper risers one of them might have something to remount your gauge/light cluster if you wana use pro tapers....

Good luck
