I wanted a more narrow type of fairing, but not one that stuck out so far forward as the Arlen Ness. I don't notice much difference as far and wind protection. It seems to do as good a job as the gauntlet style.

Love the way that fairing looks. It's everything the Ness fairings should have been in my opinion.

Changed my mind... I will more than likely get the cafe style fairing from MS eventually, as long as it's still available, but I'm not spending money on it now since I really do like my Gauntlet and it would just be a "switch as the mood hits me" kind of thing. The number one reason is that I've wanted a full length rear fender since the day I brought this bike home and I'm going to direct my savings toward that instead since all the **** I need to get is likely going to cost me a good chunk.
