yeah I tried that too and in the end it broke anyways. its by far the most flimsy piece of crap quarter fairing ever made. ill prob just keep the windshield instead untill I have the money to put an fxrt fairing on. but im hoping to get a fuel moto 107 kit this winter
Could be too much torque on the bolt.

Here is my 2003 FXD. Will I have any problems mounting a Ness fairing. Will any modification need to be done or will this be a direct bolt on for me.

could be but I bareley had it snugg with one of those rubber insulated washers on both sides. I dont know about anyone elses but mine is supper thin and flimsy as hell. there is just not enough thickness imo to keep it from cracking there. and I would never zip tie a fairing on. no offense to those that have but I like to have somewhat of a professional look when mounting things on my bike
