@SLV... I don't post much, but did want to log-on and chime in here to share my experience with Ric (owner at Southeast). He is a man of his word and has always been timely in getting back. Even went out his way to source a master cylinder for me when no one had one locally (I'm in NH). Sorry to hear abour your experience, but I think it's definitely not the norm. I'd refer anyone to SECC with confidence.
I also had an excellent experience w Ric when inquiring about some paint work. Ric was more then helpful and w an immediate email response every time with out spending a penny..

Damn! Nice touch on the 2-tone cover paint.
I must have missed some stuff.
What did you do to the brakes?
Also, did you buy the short levers or just cut and finish?
The bike is looking hot. You're going to need to hire security so you can park places. Either that, or only eat at drive-ins!

Oh yeah, that is sharp! The battery cover is sharp and the matching chin spoiler, but those brakes are the living end!
Dig, Dig Diggity it!

So my shift linkage and I had a falling out today. Thought at first the capture bolt just came out of the shift lever, until I looked up and noticed the linkage was not attached to the shifter. A few zip ties and cursing later, I was able to make it home ok. I want to change it out with an assembly that uses hiem joints instead of the stupid socket and ball that is on there, because you can mushroom that socket too easily under heavy shifting and it comes right off.

The Lyndall rotors and pads were courtesy of Mrs. Squid. Her company had a good year, and I got a good deal on them. The 3-finger levers are an ebay find, but I'm sending my holey levers to Joe Knapp with my fuel cap and gauges. He shortens and powders them for $15/pair.
