They are much better on smaller engines. Many of the dynos you see with the t-header have a pretty serious dip in the torque line too. They do sound pretty bad *** though. I care more about performance than sound. My d&d fatcat with big boar baffle sounds just as good.
Well that's just pisses me off and warts the site again i tried putting in what you said but Google couldn't find it

Thats what i was thinking on top of which they are daying its bad for bigger engine but i just read hot bike recently and a guy put a 120 block engine on his dyna and had put on a thunder header which seems weird for them to do if its a crap exhaust....

Yep, the thunderheader is a piece of junk. They fall apart and they don't make any power.
Here's mine on my 113, relatively mild all Harley motor. Yes there's a little flat spot on the bottom but I did not build this motor to go wide open throttle at 2k rpm. Either way it's never below 100ft lbs, I've pulled it to 7k and it's still making 100+ ft lbs. It made 139.9 on another run but I don't have that one. I'm making some small changes to the motor this winter and I have a boarzilla to try, I'll post results when that happens but rhe thunderheader does fine for me.

Here's my buddy's dyna with a mild carbed 95" and thunderheader. This is with a little baffle adjustment, I don't see a torque dip. 100ft lbs at 2500 from a 95", what a pos pipe.

Yo vdop, with that baffle adjustment did you just bend 3 of the 4 sides of the baffle out slightly? Any soud difference doing that? If so did you do that with your 113" motor build also? Kinda wondering how much that would help with a stock 103" to get rid of that torque dip. Thanks!

Hell, if you like a mod, do it. A lot of guys are running the TH. Just because some don't like it shouldn't change someone else's mind.

It's not my favorite pipe, but who cares. I wouldn't have chrome dripping from my bike either, but there are some great looking bikes with chrome.
