I guess it depends on perspective. I thought the Bassani was a breeze compared to my V&H Big Radius...that was a nightmare to get on straight. The Bassani's bracket kicked my *** for while, but the pipe itself fit perfectly in the heads.

Are you using a Power Vision? There are tweaks you can make with it to tune out popping. If you are, I'll PM you some of what I did before my dyno to get rid of them.

I ran across this ebay low buck deal and thought it may help with Spring thug mods.

I'm actually using the Fuel Moto Micro Tuner. Going off memory, it can store 3 maps, I believe, and has 4 other dials for fine tuning, though they aren't really marked so I'm not entirely sure what they do.

I've been busy with work, getting back in the swing from a vacation, and now dealing with a very, very sick cat so I haven't reached out to them just yet. I'm going to try and call them tomorrow or the next day and explain what I'm experiencing to see if they are able to work out a new tune and send it my way, or maybe recommend some tweaks to the dials I mentioned.

Regardless, I appreciate the offer of help.

Yeah, no problem...if you have the 103ci, I can even email you the map I used before I put in the SE255 cams. I had tuned all the popping out with help from Dynojet. I think it would be compatible with your tuner.

Those 3 dials on the tuner are to adjust 0-2k, 2-4k, and 4-6k with the needle in the top center there is no change to the loaded map. Turn the **** counter-clockwise it'll back off the fuel up to 10%, turn it clockwise it'll richen the fuel up to 10%.
I had a bit of popping as well, and I turned the first **** up maybe 4% and the second **** about 2.5% it tuned it right out. Thats what those finer adjustment ***** are for.
Play around with it for a while and let me know what you get.

You know I put mine up in the classifieds right? Less than 100 miles on it.
Thank you but I am getting one as a gift

I don't, I have the 96. Mine was a leftover '13 and I got a good deal on it so I had to take it as-is.

Thanks for the info. I knew the ***** were for adjustments, I just didn't really know which **** did what. I will play with them a bit, starting with what you said as a guide, and see what I get as a result.

Thuggish, no fairing yet but I've got a Slipstreamer Spitfire and a war painted full face helmet that I'm using to build one out of. No it's not black nor does it have T-bars. IMO this style of bike needs to begin as an FXR or FXDX variant or a Sportster Sport model with dual brakes up front. Going fast is one thing but these bikes need to both handle and brake better than just average.

Sabokat,

Your bike looks awesome. Would love to see more pictures and from different angles.

Do the lights mounted to the ammo cans act as running/brake/turn signals?

My cat died today. Not trying to be morose, but she did. Damned cat was like my best friend and I'm not exactly taking it well so I didn't go to work. I needed to get my mind off of it and I decided to put the Gauntlet on. I also reached out to Fuel Moto and they sent me a tune they think will help with the decel popping so I will get around to that this weekend when I rewire my bars.

I think I'm also going to lose the front signals. I almost never use my turn signals period and I feel like they are such an eyesore where they are. I'm tempted to put them on the forks so I at least have the added running lights for a tiny bit of safety (if any, realistically...), but I can also come back to that later if I want.

Anyway, pictures:
