I went through three or four trial methods before I found this one. Squidhead has his done almost the same.

I've been thinking of modifying mine, but I am going full fender eventually so I' not sure it's worth the trouble in the meantime. The stock Harley kit I have on there now is pretty ugly but it's still better than the side mount, in my opinion. If I don't stumble on any complete fender deals soon I may start hacking...

Except mine is ghetto-cajun style put together with whatever fasteners I had stuffed in babyfood jars. Someday soon, I'm gonna redo it and make it look less like a sailor did it.

You can just hack off the bottom of the plate mount, pull off the tag light, and mount a plate bracket upside down (you don't really need a light with how reflective tags are now). It will really clean it up until you find a fender.

Default Laminar Lip

I popped on the Laminar Lip I've had in a box since I bought my fairing. I love the look, but now I've got buffeting.

I'm gonna play with it this weekend. If I can't get rid of the buffeting, it's going in the classifieds.

I got it off ebay. If you do a permanent search on ebay with the party number one will pop up every now and then. They're great but harley quit making them about 8 years ago.

Can you show me how it attaches? Do you think it will fit the Gauntlet?

It uses these 3M locking tabs which are supposedly very secure. If I decide to keep it, I'll drill and use fasteners.

There's some flex that would allow you to fit it along different countours. Hard to say for sure, but I'm sure you could make it work.
