I talked to Steve at directcycleparts today. The 1D5250B is out of stock for a couple weeks. Since I want a chrome/polished muffler and black shields anyway, I had him switch me to the chrome version 1D5250 which is actually cheaper. High-temp gloss black on the sheilds is gonna cost me $60. The chrome 1D5250 is $30 less, so my net cost for powder will only be $30.

And the pipe is shipping tomorrow.

Got any pics of the pipe with the shields removed? I'm curious how they look raw.

 

Chrome huh? Suprising choice. I suppose you could always powder the whole thing if you didn't like it.

Can't wait to see the new pipe installed. It's a race to see if your pipe is on before my fairing is back from paint.

 

Yeah, I want this, but since I've been told by more than one owner that it will definitely hit the lower shock bolt, I went with Bassani. I love the contrast of black and chrome together and will try to get the Bassani close to it.

 

Love that pipe. I hope they fix the issue.
