Thanks for that small comment! When I mounted my headlight I totally ignored the "flipped 180" part which explains the gap I have between light and fairing...

OK, Guys I need some insight here.

A while back I purchased the nicest Saddlebags I have ever seen for the FXDX/FXDXT.....The Leather Pros Cordura Retro bags. They are really nice, I mounted them once ( my bike is still in build phase) and boxed them back up patiently waiting for my bike to be done.

Well........Time goes by and my sport bike back ground gets the best of me and I purchased a set of Piggyback shocks. If I run the reserviors forward, I cant run my Burly MX pegs for the passenger. If I run the reserviors facing rear ward, I cant run my super nice Leather Pro Saddle bags.

So I am faced with a few choices.....Find a set of footpegs that match front and rear that will clear my reserviors when they are faced forward.

OR

Use a quick detatch sissy bar with a T Bag mounted on a luggage rack. (the only luggage option that would leave my struts clean as the Leather Pro bags when removed)

Would any of you fellas running reservior shocks with these saddlebags on a 2005 or older Dyna post pics, and details on what pegs you chose to run front and rear?

I am leaning towards trying to swap my Burly MX Pegs out for Joker Machine Long Adjustable Front Pegs, and Short Adjustable Rear Pegs so I could run the reserviors facing forward and clear the passenger pegs.

My girl wants a sissy bar anyway, but I am undecided. It will look clean when removed also....

Keep the bags, lose the pegs.

Speed merchant makes a quality peg, cant comment on how any of them fit with piggy backs flipped though.

I used to run these on my SM and road racing bikes when I lived in Japan. Excellent quality and really good traction on the boots,

PS. Or, you could cut your losses and sell me those new bags for half price!
