i haven't been on here in a while so not sure if you've all talked about this bike yet or not. i found this sick ride on line and was wondering if anyone knows what bags these are? they're older metric bags? i wanna swap my HD QR bags for some hard bags and these are cool i think.

thanks. i must be slippin cuz i don't remember seeing those bags before. i will research them a little. i think you get what you pay for sometimes so maybe 8 to 12 hundred isn't that bad. i want to swap out my bags for hard bags for years now. i used to run a bagger before and loved the lockable bags but i am not a big fan of how they look on the dynas.

Yeah man, those are OG FXRT bags:

Like others have said, you can find them on E-Bay... but they hold their value much similar to the T-Sport or Defender bags. They usually go around $1000 depending on condition.

The hard bags on this Sporty by SMC are pretty clean too, not sure who makes them though:

Damn those OEM clamshell bags! Want them so bad for my FXRT build! They'll likely be the finishing touch to the bike... Unless I stumble accross them for a steal...

You might wanna check out the H-D "colour matched" hard saddle bags for Dynas too...just as another option. They're quite pricey to buy new (around $1500 if I remember correctly), but, I'm sure there are used sets out there for cheaper than what you'd pay for those RT clamshell bags...they might be a bit more sturdy too. I found a used set for my XL1200 earlier in the spring and they work great! I got them coated in Line-X instead of colour-matching them to the bike.

The ones on the sportser directly above are just stock shovelhead FLH bags.
