I rode up to the HD dealer on 2009 Ducati Monster 1100S wanting a bike to take my GF on dates with. Soon after I bought a 94 heritage. It's a total sled and I cant wait to upgrade to a new dyna. I'm so glad I still have my duc! The mods I'll get are 110ci screaming eagle kit, 1/4 fairing, fork brace, engine stabilizer, steering stabilizer 2 into 1 exhaust, alloy wheels. What else should I get to go fast and handle well?

 

Skip all that crap and get some Ohlins 30mm drop-in cartridges for the front with externally adjustable preload, compression and rebound and some 13.5" Ohlins rear shocks with the same. Google Motorcycle Metal.

The 96" is fun to ride in the twisties with. Torquey, and it makes you want to keep the "pace" if you know what I mean.

And forget the HD 110". It's a waste. Get another builder's 107 (Fuelmoto, Hillside, GMR, T-Man, and a whole bunch of others make decent kits), or a Harley 113" kit. Way better performance.

 

They say my bike don't fit into the Chopper or bobber class, so maybe it fits into the thug/club style. Anyway here it is.
BTW, I was at a beneifit ride for some guy named Mike Fink, there was a guy there on a street bob.It was flat black, had a bobbed rear fender and looked very similar to my bike except the color and front end. We meet up at Hooters in Conyers Ga. He was with a guy on a chopper. Just wondering if he was on here?

 

A streetfighter is a naked sport bike. They started when street racers dumped there bikes ruined there plastics and threw them in the trash. Speed triples, monsters and shivers are factory streetfighters. Ducati also builds a naked 1098 called "street fighter". Function over form like a SOCAL staff car style harley

 

Didn't catch it mentioned, but there are lots of examples to be found in the pages of "The Horse Back Street Choppers", magazine. Not just the main articles but in the readers section at the front of each issue, too. Some are really weird, but some are nice enough to be front cover bike examples. Seems to still be lots of creativity out there in garages all over the world. dd50 tomp

I just traded in my evo softail for a superglide custom and am considering the 103" stage 4 kit. I comute 100 miles a day. Is this build reliable or will it blow up?

I will also be upgrading the brakes and suspension as well as adding a 1/4 fairing

 

What kit you going to go with? Almost all 103" kits a very reliable. You going to install it your self? My bike is in my sig thought I would share it in this thread.

 

I wonder how much those drop in 30mm cartridges run???
