Just installed the CCE front and rear motor mounts. Brocks swingarm should arrive in Feb. Lyndall brake rotors should be here within 2 weeks. And thinking of selling my 107 motor and buying the S&S 124 twin cam and upgrading the clutch basket, chain tensioner, compensator a few other pieces here and there.

And then there’s me over here: “Maybe I’ll finally bump this 88” up to a 98” beast”. I guess I tap out haha.

2 questions That pipe....what have you done to it? It looks modified. How much of a difference do you get/feel with the chain conversion? I always thought it was better to have a belt (zero maintenance) but i've been watching Youtube and noticed a lot of guys doing the conversion
Btw bike looks great!

The pipe started life as a one off from Fab28. It has 1-3/4” stepped to 1-7/8” primaries. It was modified with a Burns collector and V-Rod Thunderheader muffler. RC Cycles then dyno tuned the bike, shortening the primaries until best power was found. It finally got ceramic coated after that. It was a journey getting the pipe to where is is at, but the throttle response, low end torque, and finally cresting 150 hp, are due to that pipe.

As far as the chain, I was hunting to get 150 hp with my combo, and reduction of friction and weight of the pulley played it’s part in the selection of a chain. I wanted to lower the gearing slightly also to get the rpm at 3,000 rpm at 75 mph. The motor, like all Harleys, has the vibration zone at 2,700-2,800 rpm. Plus, looks cool, lol.

Yes, belt is the way to go for zero maintenance, and/or if you do a lot of miles.

150?! Talk a little about the motor and what’s happening there. Hot damn I’d like 150!

114/114 for me and my belt is as old as my bike <knocks on wood>
