Thanks!

It’s actually very precariously balanced partially on the stand as I find it photographs better a little more upright.

Normally when I drop it onto the stand it leans over a lot more, if anything a little too far!

Probably a kickflip seat or similar. More forward mid control kit. Its a start
I got stock 16 lowrider S bars/risers ready to ship! Removed at 700 miles. LMK

I wish I had known... I pulled the trigger on a bar and riser from a 17 low rider s on ebay two days ago! I'm going to try them out, see how they feel. I can always use the risers and a bar adapter from wild 1 to pair up some Thrashin supply mid bends

Kicking around getting rid of it. Gone about as far as I want to go with it before going real nuts. Just don’t feel it anymore. Might move into something out of my wheelhouse like a Road King or Road Glide, maybe a switchback all done up like I normally do. I’ve had chopper fever lately too so ****, may go way in the opposite direction. I still love how this thing looks and performs though. Wish I could bankroll more than one bike.

Careful what you wish for man! I’ve got a friend with a real nice 72 Shovel chop, straight leg frame, Wassell tank. Sounds tough too. Last time I met him I’d stepped off the Dyna maybe 2 minutes and he says ‘Man I’d love a bike like yours, something I can just ride year round’.

I totally get it, if I had the cash I’d have my Evo Dyna, a newer Dyna, just for ease and cold weather starts, a Glide and something much older in a hard tail frame. Yours is one of the nicest Dyna’s I’ve seen though man.

How about an FXR? A stock one would make a nice project with a lot of potential.

The only Dyna i've seen rocking a 4Q sticker! Chopper fever never goes away. It just goes into remission lol

I did an FXR a few years ago. Couldn’t buy into the hype. Hated everything about it and it was a pretty nice bike. 96” S&S Evo, PM brakes all around, super clean. Did all my normal crap to it and never fell in love. You’re right though. If I was a wealthy man I’d have a little of everything for whatever I wanted to do. I gotta pick and choose unfortunately. I don’t ride year around here or even really go more than 100 miles in any direction. Maybe I’m just in my feelings hahaha. A chop would be fun but I’ve had many and they’re not without their bullshit either lol. I get project fever where I enjoy the build more than the finished product. That’s where I am now I think.

not many notice the 4Q sticker lol. I’ve had one on every bike I’ve owned since 06 I think. I got a handful of stickers when I met Max at The Smoke Out West. Knew him from skateboarding for years. Really great guy and I’ve been a customer and friend ever since.

I've had an itch for a long time for an real FXDXT and found one for sale. It's completely original except for the the SE Hydraulic Tensioner upgrade and SE 203 cams....otherwise it's dead stock.

So for those with experience with both, should I keep my FXR or sell it and buy this FXDXT? Thoughts?
I'd agree with everyone here. Get both if you can. Especially due to the over-inflated prices for FXRs these days.
I had an FXDX and now I have an FXRS.
I LOOOOOOOVED the FXDX, and the FXR definitely handles better and there's many things I like about it more than the DX, but I haven't fallen in love with it yet.
I'm gonna give it more time, but if someone offered me the right FXDX on a trade, I don't know if I'd be able to refuse.
