There’s a difference for sure, I mean you’re putting an object there and it’s going to block the wind to some degree. I’ve only taken one chilly morning ride so in actuality I think “cold” is just “cold” no matter how you slice it. It seems to redirect wind downward so now my knees and thighs feel good but it’s blasting right at my ankle area.

That’s kind of the funny thing with these fairings, for me anyway, is that it doesn’t so much block all wind as one would think, but it redirects it. With the T-Sport the wind goes up and over but also redirects it to the sides so it would blast right into my shoulders. I had a prior shoulder surgery so that would bother me. I switched to the FXRT style and that makes a really nice big bubble of clean air, but a lot gets directed downward so my legs would feel the air. I saw a guy selling the lowers for $100 so I pounced to try them out. I definitely wouldn’t pay $400 plus shipping plus $200 for paint for brand new ones.

I actually still have the supermeg that I had on my low rider at one point. They're hard to sell on their own, weird because they're great pipes.

They are. Most riders below 30 don’t seem to think so. Still in that age of louder is better. Lol

Reason might be that there are a lot more cooler stuff out there. I never liked them just because they give the bike an old look, not my style. I’m not a big fan on them plates either.

I’m not talking stock quiet but just enough. Supertrapp makes a bearable pipe. I’m 27 and have tinnitus already from work+ other dumb decisions I’ve made already lol earplugs are a must when I ride from now on but it doesn’t mean I need to make my pipe louder to compensate. To each their own

Not sayin that louder is the more preferred. I do want my tbr to be a bit quieter, but db killer is not a option due to the pressure form the engine(what they said). In my eyes, and probably the majority also, I think the new style 2-1s are much cooler then them old styles like the supertrapp. The finish are better too. If you want a better sound, 2-2s makes nicer and more bearable sound.

Yeah, tinnitus is ****, sorry to hear. (No pun intended). I ride with no ear plugs, always a quality full face helmet(shoei), and that isolate very good
for me. Maybe not to people around, but hey... it’s all about that dynalyfe 😂😂
