Good luck finding them, though. Works went out of business (as the story goes when the old man passed away and then the company was in litigation with family or something but may have reemerged but it's hard to say if they're really/fully operating or not).

Question to those who have gone to 13.5 or 14 inch shocks. By going to longer shocks the swingarm goes below horizontal and the drive belt is loosened. what do you set the belt adjustment at? The stock setting would be to tight I think as the shocks compress the swingarm moves up and the belt tightens. Since the shocks are longer would the belt go to tight? Many of you have done this so I know an answer is out there, I just don't know it Thanks for any help.
Adjust it when the Trans Mainshaft, Swingarm Pivot point, and Rear Axle are all in line ... that's the tightest point
Weight reduction?
Okay, so while the SATD FXDX is down, I've been riding a ducati monster.
Although nowhere near as comfy as my dyna, the 260lb weight difference has been lovely.
So, let's talk weight reduction.
What have you done?
(Keeping budget in mind, I can't afford graphite wheels)
I've already swiss-cheesed a bunch of stuff and personally lost 25lbs. Really.
But I have questions on things like
- plastic fenders: the front is easy, but can I make a rear one work that I can leave on for 2up?
- aluminum swingarms: can't afford a proper one, but could I modify a jap one? Anyone know which one might fit?
- pro-taper bars: are they worth it? which model? do they taper down to 1" or 7/8"?
- frame mods: doesn't seem like there's much there to modify.
I wasn't able to find anything specific in the forums, but please feel free to direct me to any threads.
Please and thanks.

Sell the dyna and get an fxr with proper suspension it will feel the lightest any Harley could. Other than that I can’t see anything really making a dyna feel lighter. I’ve ridden both models both with nice set ups and my fxr feels closer to a dirt bike over the dyna.
Now put on some running shoes and shorts and take off the back pack and run around the block again. (Fxr)
Its not not just the lower weight, it’s also overall frame geometry and balance that make it feel twice as nimble thus feeling half the weight of a dyna.
