Slightly off topic, but does anyone know if there is a reasonable way to make an exhaust from an FXR fit my 2007 Low Rider? I ask because I have a buddy who would sell me his black bassani road rage from his FXR for super cheap.
I know I'd have to have o2 bungs welded in, which would be fine, said buddy is a fantastic tig welder. But besides that, would the pipe physically fit?

Thanks. They're actually KZ1000P bags with new latches and custom brackets.
They're a bit smaller than I would've liked but the price was right.
I've never ridden an FXR (although I hope to) but I loooooooooooove my DX!
I've never felt so connected to a bike.
It does everything I need it to do all day long.

There wasn't much to it; relatively speaking.
The bags are usually about $175 a pair on that online bidding site.
My buddy fabbed the cages out of 9/16" aluminum rod.
(with the rails running beside the stock KZ holes for mounting plate locations)
I drilled some plates to fit the stock fender mounting bolts.
Then we just had to find the sweet spot where the bags didn't interfere with the shock, sat even with the height of the rear fender, and weren't too far back.
I found the hinges online ($6 each, rather than HD for $12 each)
I call them my Dyna "Pretender" bags.
.
Nice. We play that song in my cover band alone with a few others from Shout at the Devil.
