Finally got to ride my bike today. Put my first 40 miles on it. What a difference it is going from a sportster to a FXDLS.

It's just stock fat bob bars with a riser extension.

Huh. They looked more extreme in the first pic.
Comfy?
I had a set of keystone bars on 4" risers as my last setup and I recall finding the greater pullback more comfortable, so I'm pondering modifying my t-bars to have more pullback.

Super comfy! My problem now is that I think I'm battling the look verses function. The bars right now allow me to ride more aggressively, more comfortably, and longer than taller bars, but I still really dig the tall bar look.

I guess I've answered my own question. Stick to these.

Yeah when I was getting my t-bar set-up I was gonna start with 14"s (like everyone), but after some serious guess-timation, I found that not only were 9"s better suited to my size, and allowed me to ride harder and longer, but I liked the way they framed up my ness fairing.

For sure, it's quite a difference in handling. Mine are somewhere between 7 and 8 inches. My fairing goes back on this afternoon.

I've been looking into running a windshield too. It seems like a bunch of guys are switching to those over fairings. I didn't think I would like the look, but I like it the more I see it and I'm sure the wind protection is much better.

Spent the weekend doing a shitty plasti-dip on the fairing and got it all mounted up. Looks good from far, but far from good.
