Thug Style / Club Style Dyna pic's
I go on the HD site once or twice a year to see the new releases and paint schemes. I was randomly on last night and saw this thing. Inverted forks, piggybacks etc are pretty cool out do the gate, but definitely a beginner bike, which is fine. For the price point though I'd definitely put my money towards a new Roadster or something else...
Those XR1200's are badass though.

They couldnt sell the street 750 so they swapped the powertrain into what looks like those xl"R's. This bike will not do well. Why would anyone want to get into a under performing relativity small v-twin motor? This bike seems to be an entry level bike, reminds me of the buell blast...kind of embarrassing.
I used to be down on the Street 750 too, but I've been looking for a scoot for my wife and of course it came up. I wasn't impressed with the fit and finish of it, but I researched it any way. Stock the 750 blows the doors off of a stock Sporty 1200 in the quarter mile while being a good bit lighter. It's a great beginner bike, but the Street Rod isn't a beginner bike from the number's I'm seeing.
A modified Street 750 is used by the big dog dirt track teams as well. Throw in the fact that the Street Rod is said to have 31% more power than the base Street 750 and you may have something.
Harley may have a problem tough selling them if the public just assumes it's a stock Street 750 with some shocks thrown on. In truth, there are only two shared parts between the bikes. The gas tank and the front fender I believe.

As a side note, I'll re-post what I put in the sporty section a few minutes ago...
HD has release the new Street Rod today. It looks like it would fit in with this thread. Tall suspension, mags, dual calps up front, 2-1 pipe, fairing, hopped up engine. HD said they were targeting the FZ -07 crowd. Looks fun as hell to me!
Even the promo video shows some hooligan type riding.

Now that I'd like to see!

are you serious? that little guy is belting out 75hp, stock. same as your low rider and more than a stock 1200 and the new roadster.... and lighter. once the tuners get their hands on it will be pumping out 100hp. liquid cooled too.... that little thing is no joke and will shame a lot of us.
All I know is Im jealous. When is Harley going to put piggy backs and inverted front end on the dyna platform. They already put dual disc and bigger motor. Just do it already Harley. Just finish the job already
