Thug Style / Club Style Dyna pic's
Here's my latest addition. I wanted to keep it classic on this one: fairly naked FXDX with a raised Ness Fairing, Ventura style with a lot of black. Unfortunately I Chose the worst time of day for pics with the beaming sun, but I buttoned everything up today and wanted to take a spin.
95" kit, S&S carb, black pingel petcock, oil pressure gauge because it looks trick, ToKico caliper conversion, Le Pera seat, lucky daves bars, black powder all around black black (kickstand too). There black vinyl wrap on the upper forks to keep it more blackerer.
Still dicking with the fairing. It blocks the wind perfect and functions well. I got it bolted solid as hell, but it almost looks TOO high to me. It's centered right on the sweet spot with the gauges just at the lip so it's money. I need to cleanup the wires and cables poking out too.
Sorry the pictures suck.

Threw on the bags and lowers again. Need to paint the fairing. Took the console to a welder to weld up the gauge hole. Then will powder coat it black of course
Dude I didn't realize the fairings were like semi-gloss...it's not matte but definitely don't match the tank. Gonna try some rattle can clear on it and see what happens.
Love that. Well said.
^Exactly why when I bought my new bike, I went with the blue and insane amounts of chrome. I love the all black look, but in SoCal I'd have a hard time telling my bike apart from the masses if I did the blacked out DB or DL-S. Again, got nothing against the look, just trying to do something different than the masses...hoping to have the fairing paint matched by the end of the month.

That being said, I put one on my bike for aesthetic purposes. With the fairing way high it makes the lower forks seem waaaaay long and disproportionate. The fork brace helps break things up a little and have some continuity. Almost like a third triple tree.

I'd say I noticed a little difference, not $200+ though...main reason I got it was because I had $200 in Harley gift cards that I needed to use, so I wasn't out of pocket too much. Not gonna lie, the looks alone are killer, it's a very well-machined piece.
