I like the shoes too, but I feel like I'm a little too old to pull that look off.
I'm 42 and all I wear is Vans... are you like, 90? Cuz even then, Vans are ok.
92 to be exact....
JK, maybe there is hope for me at 46. Are they comfortable to ride with and do you feel safe with them?

Super comfortable. I hardly ever wear boots, but I've got some Broken Homme boots that should arrive today.
BMX, skate and snowboard are my background, so I've pretty much always been into Vans.

I thought wearing vans was mandatory with this style Dyna?
Vans, flannels, Simpson helmets... part of the starter kit, right?
I'll look into the Vans.
Since I've been reading this thread. I've gone from a 100% stock LR to the bike in my signature.
But, I've also gone to from:
Skid Lid half helmet --> Scorpion EXO-T1200 Full Face
Leather Jacket --> vest very similar to Emerican's
Polo type work shirts --> plaid button downs
and now black Wolverine work boots to skater shoes.
I believe my wife is right. I'm going through a mid-life crises.
Comfortable- yes. Safe- no. I've see a bunch of people puncture their feet and skid right through the fabric, but **** it, we're bad asses right?
Realistically, thick safe boots should be worn, but then again Levis and a flannel or hoodie won't do much either. I like how you can feel the pegs and shifter/brake pedals. When I wear boots or thick shoes it just feels off.
I've got a "nice" pair of leather high top vans that I normally wear for more protection from the elements, but if you go down at 90, I don't think it matters much. You're gonna get tore up. Don't go down.
Thanks man, ended up bumping the bars up a little more after that riding season tho. Windshield is a 14"er
I'm 5'8". Don't do 10. At least 12". It's contrintuitive I guess, but if you're short you need longer bars, mostly because t-bars don't have pullback. I have 9"+Protapers - close to 13. And 10 degree bushings

What height are your bars in these pictures? They look like 12"?
Just curious why you would want to go down to 10"
I'm trying to decide between 10" and 12" West Coast MX Tbars. I'm 5' 8" and wanted the grips to be at level or a bit below with my shoulders.
Your comments much appreciated.
