Default RE: Boattail for '06

I think the boattail would be awesome to reproduce. Probably one of the most powerful peices of Americana is the boattail Superglide. I was in first grade, living in the working class suburbs of Downriver Detroit, and remember one that parked in front of a strip club next door to the candy store my pals and I rode our chopped and forked Huffys and Murrays too(Schwinn was highbrow). We just idolized that bike, and the Evil Kenevil livery. Granted its not everyones cup of tea, but a quick detach tail on the current bike would get me to add a second Harley to my garage.

By the way, I must have drawn the number one logo on thousands of textbook pages at Washington elementary in Wyandotte, MI in 1971-1975. I apologize for my transgressions!

Yes this is a very old thread, but I wonder if anyone has done this? It would be a fun project, maybe start with a normal dyna with the right tank and gauges. I wonder how the seat area of the frames compare, and if it would fit behind the tank and between the fender rails. I would think you could get a comfortable seat made nowadays. Thanks, Joe

yikes, is the dyna frame that much wider than the FX so that ugly corbin blob is all that fits? I have to find someone that has both to measure.
