I hate to tell ya, but IMHO the pillion sucks. I can offer an opinion because I bought the same setup. It does feel like it bows in the middle, and the wife said it was like sitting on a rock. After about 2 seconds of thinking about it, I took it back to the dealer and traded up (they should let you do this if you have all the hardware) for the Sundowner. I don't know what your situation is or how much two up riding you plan on doing but the seat upgrade was definately worth it. The wife says it is 1000% better. Also if you want to go back to the solo look you don't have to jack around with taking it all apart again. With the Sundowner setup, I can now go from solo to full 2 up including sissy bar in about 2 minutes. Like I said, just my opinion for what it's worth.

Enjoy your ride.

Yup - the pillion sucks. Wiggled and rocked - never felt like it was on right. I also took it back to the dealer and went with the touring seat. Same seat as the sundowner just cheaper.
