my reasons:

1-its a cheap-looking piece 'o crap
2-when i wipe off the tank the damn cloth always gets snagged on it
3-every time i see CraigC's sig pic i get jealous
4-its more 'bob' without it

And now you know why I want to do it.

Not going to replace them either, thanks CraigC [8D]

I think it looks awesome without them. That look is really catching on...

I still can't bring myself to put those new `59-`60 emblems on. I like it too much, in the nude.

I've been debating on removing mine as well. I do kinda like people seeing Harley Davidson on the side though. I thought about replacing mine with a Road King Classic emblem, cause I think they are vintage and have a nice understated look. I do think that the more of my cobalt blue paint that is uncovered the better. Maybe I'll take the emblem off one side and leave the other side on. Do you think that would throw me off while cornering?

I do all of the paint work for our local Harley dealer, and when a bike comes in on trade with no logo's or emblems, they knock off 20% on the price. They just don't seem to sell as eazy without them......FWIW.

These are waaaay better then the clear coated stickers like on the 04 FXDI.

I think I will leave them on... if the rest of you take them off... my bike will be special

I don't agree with a lot of you...but we all have our own ideas on what looks good, so I'm not saying anyone is wrong. All I know is it took me quite some time to finally get a harley, and even though I don't like the emblems on my WG as much as the bar and shield logos on the previous few years' DWGs, I still won't remove them. I finally have a harley, and I'm damn proud to announce it. I took the emblems off my honda and my yamaha. Nowadays when I see a bare tank, I think of my metrics. No offense guys..that's just what I think from my own experience.

better make sure it's a nylon acoustic string...a steel electric guitar string could scratch...I would imagine.
