Default Street Bob: Rear Mods Pictures

Hello all!

I was wondering if you guys wouldn't mind posting pictures of your SB's rear end with any mods you would have made, especially with license plate mount, lights, etc.

When I will get mine, I would like to have a side mount license plate, and try to get rid of of the rear break light....and have something looking like a Iron or Nightster.

Thanks!

Voony.

P.S. I'd love if you could tell me how you did your mods and how much did it cost? Is it easy to do?

I need to get a closer shot, but this is the only pic of the rear I have.

Vertical side mount plate with built in LED's, home built bracket that mounts off the upper belt guard (removed) and ground off the factory bracket on the tail light and painted it.

Plans are to bob the rear fender even, fill in the hole and removed the rear tail light and relocate my rear signals this winter.

These photos are floating around in another thread, but I have:

* Lowered the rear with Progressive shocks - $$$
* Fabricated a side mount plate bracket - $
* Integrated Kuryakyn Panacea tail light (brake and signals) - $$
* Removed rear (and front) signals - FREE!
* Plugged rear fender holes with plastic caps (from Home Depot) - (Almost) FREE!
* ...and don't forget to take off the reflectors! - FREE!

Also, while not a mod, as soon as my new lift arrived earlier this week I put the bike up on it and cleaned the **** out of the rear wheel. First proper cleaning since I brought it home a few years ago. Look how shiny!

Is it hard to make the bracket yourself? I'm not such a crafty man lol

not a street bob but a lowrider. i chopped the rear fender, lowered it with some 11" shocks, relocated the rear sigs to the swingarm and mounted a sparto tail light. i did fabricate a side mount for the plate but took it off when i needed to put some saddlebags on for a trip to Tenn. the plate now acts like a state issued mud flap. i do plan on moving it back to the side and chopping and lowering the rear fender and cutting off the struts.
