So the Harley makes the bad a$$ street bob. All blacked out.....they make the sissy bars all blacked out...but they do not have wrinkle black sideplates for the sissy bar. Anyone know of any aftermarket or other ideas? I already ahve the removeable saddle bags and hardware for the sissy bar installed on my bike. But I think I am going to have to have to buyt the chrome sideplates and and Harley has the wrinkle black spray paint and paint the stupid chrome ones that cost 50 more than the black ones.....black.....lol anyway any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dunno if you can wait, but it could be possible that next year's stuff would have it. See if you can pry anything out of the dealer. Otherwise it would be the old sandNpaint.

 

Anything out on this one yet for the '06 bobs? We all need a wrinkle black sideplate setup for the "wife kit!"

 

I had my powder coated but you could get the spray painy and a toaster oven and do yer own

I have to tell you my dad had a 04 Superglide sport and put all the wrinkle stuff on it and it cracked and/or peeled. Our HD shop replaced **5** sets of sissybar, rack and sideplates. The first replacement set cracked as the mechanic at the shop was putting it on. They even got a set shipped from a dealing in a different state. I hope this stuff holds up better now. If i can get my bob i would hate to put chrome on it.

 

I might just buy the chrome b.s. and grind it down and rattle can it black. If it chips or cracks or scratches, just rattle can it again ya know.

 

I'm with you on this one. I want to add a high black sissy bar on my Bob, but it's the extra lengths you have to go through to make it happen. Just like the lack of white walls for our stock wheels.[:@]

 

Got the 07 parts catalog in the mail a couple days ago. Still nothing in there, but I did notice they are now offering a prepackaged *wife kit*
