This is my first post on these forums. I'm soon to by my first Harley and am pumped! I'm leaning completely towards the Dyna family and am pretty sure I will not be swayed at this stage.

I was looking at the 2010 Fat Bobs and like them and all that I hear about them but I really enjoy the looks of the Superglides. To me the way my bike is gonna look is obviously important the only problem I have is I'm a pretty big guy and I'm looking for any advice from any other size able riders about how comfortable a SuperGlide with forward controls will be???

I'm 6'3 and about 270 pounds

I am 6'1 and 250, and I ride a 09 superglide with mids. Fits me good, but the stock seat sucks pretty bad, kills my lower back. I think I would be pretty comfy with forwards also, but I like mids more.

One of my brothers is 5'10" and 300+; he found his legs got tired hangin off the forewards and we put on Dyna Defender floorboards; much better now...also; he goes to Sturgis on a Corbin solo saddle and they're hard, but it works for him. Bars are HD fat mini-apes; bike is an '01 FXD.....

I'm 6' 250, and extremely comfortable on my street bob. At first I was concerned about the forwards, but now I'm thinking about extending them. at 6'3 I'm sure you'll have plenty of room and tonnes of power. If need be, you can always add the extensions

I'm 5'10" and 275#. My bike has mids and they're pretty good but I'm considering forwards. The bike itself is perfect!

No where near the mass, but almost got your height. I am 6'2", 200 ibs and have an 06 FXDI. With some mods, I have it fitting me pretty good.

I have changed to 10" mini apes, tried several seats (ended up with Mustang Day Tripper), and added forwards with offset extensions.

i'm 5' 11" and 318 (nimble) pounds. put forwards on my 07 superglide and didnt like them. went back to mids and have put almost 29,000 miles on it. i travel a bit. no problems. just test road a new street glide (got a nice book for doing it) and frankly didnt think it was any more comfortable EXCEPT sure do like the air shocks. railroad tracks will never be the same. i will stay with the superglide as its paid for. didnt like the softtails as it seems that the suspension was a bit soft for me. nice bike though. good luck
