Default Power commander Question

I've searched old posts with no luck. I just bought the vance and hines short shots for my 06 dyna and am looking into the PCIII. My question is 2 part. One is do i really need the PCIII? I would think so. Secondly I noticed that all the fuel maps say "O2 sensor eliminators ". does this mean that my 02 sensors are unused now?

Thanks!

Yes, and yes. You will need to compensate the added airflow with added fuel, so you'll need some fuel module - PCIII, SERT, etc. The O2 sensors are bypassed with the PCIII, so yes, they'll be unused.

As a side note, I had that same setup and used the map for the big shots provided by Dynojet. I had a custom map done last week and was told that the map I was using was REALLY rich. The last I checked they haven't done a canned map for the shortshots, so be sure to get it tuned with a custom map. I did and it's a new bike; runs awesome.

I have to agree with the previous post, but get an A/C also, I did a PC on my bike and the improvement was HUGE.... The only challenge Ihad was findiing the plugs for the O2 sensor in my pipes...

Time to ride....

Outstanding. Untill i can plug up the 02 sensor holes in the pipes i would reckon that i could just use the current o2 sensor.

Read in a prior post that http://www.fuelmotousa.com/ was a good place to get the PCIII?

yes, I have heard that is a good place as well. I got mine from eastern performance for 279.00. I think the shipping was free. I dont know if they still offer that but they do have a website. Took about 3 or 4 days to get here.

Our local shop uses a Dynojet 250i and charges around $250 but I got a great deal from them in exchange for some computer work... Also Fuelmoto will premap a PC for the users particular set up.

I paid 85 for the dyno time and 200 for the custom map. It was well worth it, for sure.

I also used Eastern Performance. I should add that I had a BIG improvement over stock with the map from Dynojet, so I hope that I wouldn't come across as saying it wasn't worth it without the dyno tune. Definitely get the pipes, PC, and a/c on that bike and run the closest map possible ASAP, huge difference.
