Default Price of 2009 Superglide Custom?

Looking at a new superglide custom (2009) from dealer. What kind of out the door prices are you guys hearing? This is an MSRP dealer, about 14,000.

Are you paying taxes on the full amount, i.e. do you have a trade-in? If you are paying taxes on $14,000 here that would be $910. After adding shipping, set-up charges, taxes and title fees that would be well over $14,000 so $14,000 would be a reasonable, not great, deal. You should be able to get something off MSRP since it is a holdover but Harley dealers put a premium on having a bike in stock. I think they feel it is worth at least a $1,000 or more just so you don't have to wait.

The 2010 Vivid Black has a MSRP of $12,999. If they won't deal on an '09 (and no reason why they shouldn't) then buy the 2010 with the new 5th. gear and other new features.

They've been available in SE Mich for MSRP OTD since at least June. With the 2010's out they haven't gotten any cheaper. The dealers that were selling at MSRP OTD are out of 2009's and the dealers with 2009's are now selling at MSRP OTD (they weren't selling for that price at every dealer earlier this season). I suspect that locally they are getting scarce, certainly not available in all colors. Hurry up and buy the 2009's so I can see some price movement on the 2010's (best price locally MSRP+6% sales tax=OTD price)

I paid $13,300 OTD for my Vivid Black 09 FXDC 4 weeks ago in Santa Fe. It was
still in the box and had to be assembled.

The accessories (forward controls, relocated tail lights, engine guard, battery
tender pig tail, detachable sissybar with rack and QD windshield) in the sig pic
were purchased by me and installed by an independent. $1440 in parts plus
$400 in labor to have it all installed.

Thanks, guys. I'm figuring about $14k for a two-color. I'll post the price when I make the deal--not to brag or complain, simply as a reference point.
