Fatcat is the better buy.... I have the fatcat. When I say better buy, this is in terms of price and fit and finish. I think the thunder header sounds a little better. Performance will be close. I think the fatcat gives a little more torque down in the lower rpm's on a stage 1 motor.

If you look at the V&H video you will note the rear heat shield has a ring inside centering the muffler, this is not in the latest shield, the inside mounts for the clamp have been revised,, the shield sits off of the muffler a little more. The reason--by the time we returned from Sturgis thru Reno, then San Fran and home to BC the welds on the inside of the shield had burned thru to the outside, the newer mounts should stop this. I have pictures if anyone is interested.

I just put a Fatcat on this past weekend. Very impressed w/ fit and finish, sound, look, and feel.

Looks like it is going to be what pipe you think looks best on your ride.

I had that pipe. Damn I loved that thing... it just got soooooooooooooo hot, so heat shields are a MUST. I switched to a THeader, and it actually made slightly more power, and I got a sick deal on the THeaders, so I couldn't pass it up.

Something about this pipe makes me want to vomit when I lay eyes on it...
