Help...I was Vandalized
Hey guys, listen had my baby parked on the block. Sometime over the course of the day. A "Hater" gouged my tank.
I have a 1 1/2 inch gouge on my left side gas tank.
I could go insurance but I'm still responsible for the deductible.
Anyone here know a way of doing some at home fixes.
Ie compounding, sanding etc... Just till I can float a paint job?
Any ideas would greatly help.
Hey.. here are the pics that were asked for, an sorry for the delay. As you can see, it wasnt my knee, or my buckle, ( not that i own one), or keys, its literally right on top of the tank as if someone walked by and just keyed it. ir just did some idiot things.

If it down to the primer or deeper if so touch up paint. If its the clear coat rub it a little with white compound use a wet wash colth just lightly in the derection of the scratch touch it up with clear. Before you touch it up wipe it with a Alcohol Swab to degrease Can you put a photo up so we can see the damage give better advice. It sucks when people don't have the ***** to face you. Unless you pissed off some B**CH

It's probably just me, but the reason I pay insurance premiums each month is if my bike gets damaged I can get it fixed professionally, including a new paint job.
Paying the deductible does suck, however, and I'm also sorry you were a victim of someone.
Regardless of which way you decide to go, you should report it to the police. A police report can be useful in a number of different scenarios (to include, if someone bears you a grudge, damage they may do to your bike next week or next month...)
Best with that,
