Default Street Bob (Dyna) Passenger Pegs

All,

I have done searches for Passenger Pegs here in the Forum for my Street Bob (Dyna) and I am really not getting the results that I want.

First, I would like to know whether there are other manufacturers besides HD that makes the mounting kitg for the passenger foot pegs. I went on ebay but all I saw were HD and they were selling for 120 plus. To me that seems like a lot of money but then again I havent been able to find other prices so it could be a fair amount.

Let me know if you know of any other places that sells the mounting kit for the passenger pegs. Also, how easy is the installation? I see that on the right side of the SB the installation would be pretty easy but on the left side, it seems as if you have to remove other parts to install the footpegs.

If you have any links to the installation process, I do not yet have a service manual, i am planning on getting in the next two weeks or so.

I appreciate your help.

Sincerely,

Harlista01

I'm sure Kury makes some, as well as other companies.

As for removing parts...take your seat off, use a long extension (I used a 24") and a wobble socket, worked fine.

Thanks for the prompt replies, I will google both places tomorrow since I shut down my computer. I was looking for something non-chrome but for the rice price I might take the plunge. I will check those places to see what options they have available.

Again, thans for the replies and if you have any more suggestions please post them. Thanks.

If you really hate chrome and can't find some HD take off's, get the cheaper chrome ones and paint them.

Search the classifieds. I just got some from a member on here for $25. Or put up a post seeing if anyone has some take offs. That's all I did then a buddy of mine found them in the classifieds and now they are in my garage.

If your computer was shutdown...then how were you still on the internet?

The side with the drive belt is a little hard to install. I bought a SearsTorx set and with just a little twisting of the drive belt got it on. The Snap on set is too long and would not fit in the space available. The manual stays to remove the rear wheel. Not necessary. The idea someone had about taking the seat off and using a long extension also sound good. Put loctite on those bolts. Lots of vibration back their. I'm also tightening something.
